My Name

Whats the story behind your name? Talofa Lava I am Norah-Jade

When I was born my Mum and Dad couldn't decide on what name to call me, then my Aunty walked in and she said to call me Norah, and that name only lasted a day because the next day my Aunty from Australia came to the hospital to see and said "we should call her Jade" but my Aunty also wanted to just call me Norah so then my Mum and Dad decided to put them together and call me Norah-Jade.

and thats why my name is Norah-Jade :)

A Job for me:

What do you wanna be/do when you grow up? Are you sure about it? Why do you want to be/do it? Hi my name is Norah-Jade and today I will be telling you about what I want to be and do in the future. Hope you enjoy it.

Everyday I wake up to ask myself, What do I want to be or do in the future? But to be honest if someone asks me that I always say that I want to be a flight attendant because it sounds very interesting, even though I say that I am still not even sure about it. But after I say flight attendant in my head I always tell myself “why did i say that” because after I say “flight attendant” another interesting job just pops up in my head. Like being a lawyer.

One day I went to the airport to say goodbye to my uncle. As soon as he left I saw a 2 lady’s walking and they were dressed as a flight attendant but before they walked in, one of them stopped and took 2 big deep breaths. I thought to myself, is she nervous I never knew that being a flight attendant was a hard job, so I asked myself again What do I want to be or do in the future? When we left the airport we were going back home and I asked myself again What do I want to be or do in the future?

When I asked myself again I thought to myself saying “I think I should stop asking myself the same question everyday because I think that's why I don’t know what to be or do”. When I was going to bed something popped up in my head then I thought for a while why do I want to be this? And then I said “hmmm well I’ve been playing ever since year 2” then I said How am I going to do it? Then I said “I am going to do it but I really wanna know though”.

At school I love to learn, my favourite subject is Reading and Writing, I love to do reading because I like to answer questions in slide shows and in person, I like to do writing because in my free time I get to write about anything, and because well I’m writing I can describe people and stuff in my own way.

During the holidays I love going to the pools because it's like free time to me. I love to play board games and stuff with my family and friends. In my free time at home I like to read any books but especially not the ones that I read early in the mornings.

My first day in Intermediate

Talofa lava, Bonjour, Malo ni and Greetings to you all.

My name is Norah-Jade and this year I am a year 7 student at Pt England school. When I walked into the Team 5 block, it felt different because the people and the things that were around me were so different. I also felt really welcomed because they all were being so kind and helpful. My goal for this year is to stay focused when I am doing my work in class and to get good grades for my Reading and Maths tests and other stuff like that. I am looking forward to seeing what we'll be getting up to this year and to see what things we will be trying to achieve.
For the first week of the term we have been doing lots of cool and fun art work and also hard learning, What we are learning right now is our Family Tree and the question is "how do I keep myself in balance: Physically, Spiritually, Mentally, and Socially".
