Lunch with the Prime minister: Jacinda Adern

Today our one and only Prime Minister came to our school, she came to have lunch with us, the reason why she came was because some of our Pt England students wrote to her about the free lunches we get every school day, Prime Minister Jacinda Adern then, saw the email and asked her team, if she could come and visit our school.

Us as role models made a huge, warm welcome for her, because she is a special person, she helped us during hard times and we all are VERY grateful for that.

When we finished the welcome, she gave us a nice warm speech with a few little tips, very good tips!. After that she came to OUR class and handed out OUR lunches! it was soo exciting!. When she was done handing out the lunches she then talked to us about why we like the lunches, it was a very nice talk with her. One of the tips she told us was...

"When you go through hard times, think about me" that was my favourite thing from her everything she said, was so inspiring!.

Most of all, it was so fun, and exciting having her with us, we are such a lucky school!.

Writing Challenge

On a sad rainy day, in bikini bottom, Spongebob was doing the dishes and he bruised his arm, because his adorable pet Gary bumped into him and he tripped.

Then Mrs Puff called and said she was eating chop suey (Sapasui).

Other than that Mrs Puff thinks if you have, or eaten something from any culture then your that culture, so basically Mrs Puff thinks she's Samoan.

Spongebob got jealous so he bought a Salu Lima to prove he’s the real Samoan.

Spongebob was planning to go to Samoa, the first thing he did was look at the globe to see how far it was.

Then the next day he went to Samoa, The End.

Task Description:

The writing challenge is actually a challenge, (if that makes sense). For the writing challenge you can only write 6 sentences, (If you think all six of those are paragraphs.....their not):)

Wind Energy highlights

Today for extension we were learning about wind energy, that basically compares to Wind Turbines.

Wind Turbines are important for electricity, because if we didn't have Wind Turbines then our electricity wouldn't run as normal. Lots of people dislike Wind Turbines because its sort of a threat to our wildlife, like bats, and birds flying by. They also dislike it because of the annoying noise coming through it, because it echoes through to the nearest community.
