Cross country

As I stood at the starting line, waiting for Mr. Burt to yell “Go,”  I felt as if I had butterflies in my stomach.  When Mr Burt yelled out go I started running as fast as I could. For the start I started jogging and when I was coming last I started sprinting as fast as I could. When I got up to Jane I started to run with her. When we were nearly at the finish line I started sprinting as fast as I could. When I got to the finish line I came 7th and Jane came 8th. The year 1 ‘s to year 6 ‘s were lucky because I came 7th and Jane came 8th. The year 1 ‘s to year 6 ‘s were lucky because  is a year 7 so she had to run 2 laps.
